17 Green Product & Eco-Label Standards
Environmental certifications, eco-labels, and compliance standards covering textiles, electronics, furniture, building materials, recycling, and consumer goods.
BIFMA LEVEL
A multi-attribute sustainability standard for furniture products, evaluating materials, energy & atmosphere, human & ecosystem health, and social responsibility. BIFMA LEVEL certification helps specify environmentally preferable furniture for green building projects.
R2
The leading certification standard for electronics recyclers and refurbishers, ensuring responsible management of used electronics. R2v3 addresses data security, environmental health & safety, downstream accountability, and facility management best practices.
Green Seal
An independent eco-label certifying products and services that meet rigorous environmental standards for reduced toxicity, resource conservation, and responsible manufacturing. Green Seal covers cleaning products, paints, paper products, and hospitality operations.
UL ECOLOGO
A multi-attribute, life-cycle-based environmental certification recognized across North America and globally. UL ECOLOGO verifies that products meet stringent environmental performance criteria covering raw materials, manufacturing, use, and end-of-life management.
EU Ecolabel
The official voluntary eco-label of the European Union, awarded to products and services meeting high environmental standards throughout their life cycle. The EU Ecolabel covers textiles, cleaning products, paints, electronics, tourism, and other product categories.
OEKO-TEX
A globally recognized testing and certification system for textiles, ensuring that every component of a product has been tested for harmful substances. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 covers raw materials, intermediate products, and finished articles including accessories and trims.
Textile Exchange
A suite of standards for the textile industry including the Organic Content Standard (OCS), Global Recycled Standard (GRS), and Responsible Down Standard (RDS). These standards provide chain of custody verification for sustainable fiber and material claims in fashion and textiles.
